Black Panther is a Marvel Comics superhero, created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. The character made his first appearance in Fantastic Four #52 in July 1966 and quickly became one of the most popular characters in the Marvel Universe.

Black Panther, also known as T'Challa, is the king of Wakanda, a technologically advanced African nation that has hidden itself from the rest of the world for centuries. T'Challa inherited the mantle of the Black Panther from his father and is also one of the most powerful beings on Earth, with enhanced strength, agility, and senses, as well as access to advanced technology and Vibranium, the rarest metal on Earth.

In 2018, Black Panther was adapted into a feature film directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa. The film was a critical and commercial success, breaking several box office records and becoming the first superhero film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
